Onto-OrthoCCL Ontologies

The term ‘Onto-OrthoCCL Ontology’ is an umbrella term utilized to denote ontologies that describe aspects of Orthodox Christian Canon Law (OrthoCCL), that is, ontologies containing knowledge pieces based on texts of  Canons enacted by the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church.

Description: Onto-OrthoCCL Ontology of Ecclesiastical Penal Law is a computational ontology that draws attention to the disciplinary aspect of the Canons of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church to cover the lowest-level concepts related to matters of ecclesiastical discipline invoked by ecclesiastical courts. More specifically, it aims to describe concepts revolving around ecclesiastical canonical offenses and the ecclesiastical punishments imposed by the Canons of Orthodox Christian Canon Law (OrthoCCL). This domain-specific ontology consists of three interconnected modular sub-ontologies:

Description: Onto-OrthoCCL Ontology of Duties and Spiritual Obligations is a computational ontology that emphasizes the deontic aspects of the content of the Canons of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church to cover specialized concepts (actually, lowest-level concepts) concerning the duties of the clergy and the spiritual obligations of all its members according to its canonical tradition. Four linked modular sub-ontologies make up this ontology:

(2) OrthoCCL-based canons ontology
(3) OrthoCCL-based governance ontology
(4) OrthoCCL-based members ontology
